Ulrika’s passion for design and fashion was sparked after working several years at Hugo Boss, following her graduation in Business Studies. She then began her creative quest at the Inchbald School in London, studying Architectural Interior Design. ThisImage was followed with immediate success as 1st prize winner of the carpet design competition of Veedon Fleece, inspiring her to complete a textile design course at the Central Saint Martins College.

Her fascination with textiles and particularly with the charm and vivid patterns of vintage scarves spurred her to make cushions that evoke the colourful beauty and glamour of past fashion eras.

More recently Ulrika is applying her skills to designing her own textiles, featuring digitally printed fabrics in her first contemporary collection. Inspirations for her work are varied and range from sixties fashions design to urban wildlife in London, from the ornamented woodcarvings of traditional Tyrolean furniture to antique textiles studied in the V&A and from the colours of old English roses to tribal art costumes of the Miao in China.
